DPRC

Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee

Under the compassionate and visionary leadership of Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, inspired by his deep compassion and desire to help those who are in need, Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee (DPRC) was formed, led by its Chairman, Presbyter Jim Bigalbal.

This vital ministry equips the Church to respond to crises and extend care to communities affected by calamities. More than a year since its establishment, the DPRC has been actively conducting relief and response operations in places across the country affected by typhoons, earthquakes, and other forms of calamities.

Meet the Team

DPRC’s effective crisis care requires a coordinated, interdisciplinary team of specialized personnel with various skills working together to address each individual’s specific needs. From administrative help to logistics, each of them contributes significantly to the smooth operation. Their acts ensure that the response team can concentrate on brethren’s care without interruption. Each team member contributes their unique talents and experience to provide compassionate, responsive, and effective care to individuals in need.

Community Outreach and Relief Operations

HFGC Team Community Outreach Program with DPRC – January 11, 2026

Through the Home Free Global Crusade, the DPRC collaborated with Manila District 2 City Councilor Hon. Darwin “Awi” Sia and showed God’s love and compassion during a community outreach in Zone 23, Barangay 259, Manila City. They gave care packages to thousands of families and hundreds of children, bringing hope and happiness to the community by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through love and compassion in action.

Special Christmas Relief Operations with AJSF at Rodriguez, Rizal – December 6, 2025

Christmas is a time for love, sharing, and giving. The spirit of Christmas is deeply rooted in the values of love, compassion, and generosity, which are also key to DPRC’s mission. Last December 2025, the team visited Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal, and conducted a special Christmas relief operation, distributing Noche Buena packages and school supplies to Filipino families. Apostle Jonathan also delivered God’s comforting and inspiring word to the attendees. Through this gift-giving celebration, the End-Time Church gave back to the community while also sharing the genuine reason for the giving season: Jesus Christ.

Northeastern Luzon Relief Operations – December 5, 2025

In December 2025, Super Typhoon “Uwan” brought strong winds and heavy rains to Isabela and Cagayan provinces. This typhoon caused severe damage to some of our churches and brethren’s houses. Through Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol’s compassion and care for the Church, the DPRC team acted quickly to check the condition of our churches and brethren in the Northern Luzon District. Along with the relief supplies they distributed to the affected church members, they promptly planned how to restore the damaged areas of some local churches and church properties.

Delivery of Relief Goods to Mangaldan, Pangasinan and Santiago, Isabela – December 3, 2025

The Church was able to invest in aiding and reaching out to those in need because of the vision of Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol. Pangasinan and Isabela are some of the areas that were severely impacted by the powerful typhoon. The DPRC team was able to promptly provide assistance to our brothers and sisters in need thanks to the Church’s trucks.

Through the Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee, the Church goes beyond disaster response—building resilience, uplifting communities, and continually bringing Christ’s love and hope to those in need.

Typhoon Verbena – December 2, 2025

Many of our kababayans in Negros Island were also affected by Typhoon “Verbena.” We were reminded that, similar to the passion of Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol, the Church is called to offer Christ’s compassion to the broken and His hope to those who feel forgotten. The DPRC, in collaboration with PMCC 4th Watch Bacolod, headed by Presbyter Dondon Tolero as the district coordinator, acted quickly to give Negrenses the spiritual and essential assistance they needed.

Typhoon Uwan – November 2025

When Typhoon “Uwan,” one of the strongest typhoons in 2025, struck the Philippines, communities across Bicol and Pangasinan faced strong winds, flooding, and widespread power outages. However, DPRC, in coordination with Bicol and Pangasinan District ministers, responded to families and local churches affected by the typhoon across Camarines Sur, Albay, and the eastern part of Pangasinan. Teams distributed essential food packs and checked on churches impacted by flooding, fallen trees, and power interruptions.

Typhoon Tino – November 2025

After numerous earthquakes and Typhoon “Tino” devastated Cebu over several weeks in September and November 2025, the DPRC team, along with Presbyter Polly Mendoza, the Central Visayas District Coordinator, continued to reach the churches, brethren, and people in Central Visayas in response to the widespread damage and displacement caused by natural disasters in the Visayas region. DPRC’s long-term goal is to assist communities in both recovery and resilience building.

Typhoon Opong – October 2025

In October 2025, the DPRC team successfully conducted a relief operation, reaching thousands of families in Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, and Masbate. Each family received relief goods and essential items, including construction materials they could use to repair the damage to their houses and help them get back on their feet. Despite the destruction brought by the typhoon, our brethren remained resilient and continued to rebuild their lives with courage.

Typhoon Emong – Tarlac and Pangasinan – July 27, 2025

During Typhoon “Emong,” DPRC’s relief efforts in the flood-affected areas of Tarlac and Pangasinan were accomplished with the help of the Dalaw Kalinga Foundation and DPRC volunteers who put in extra effort to package and transport the supplies. By providing families who had been severely impacted by recent events with instant support and consolation, these programs demonstrated a strong commitment to compassion and service during difficult times.

Typhoon Kristine

Due to severe devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, roads and bridges were among Pampanga District’s urgent concerns. Even the roads going to our churches became impassable because of mud, floods, and collapsed pavement. In order to provide the brethren with a route to the chapel, the DPRC initiative started to pile up soil. Meanwhile, in Eastern Batangas, DPRC led the way in responding to disasters. Thousands of typhoon victims received relief packs from committed volunteers.

Typhoons Nika, Ofel, and Pepito – November to December 2024

Aside from providing financial support to our churches and fellow believers affected by Typhoons Nika, Ofel, and Pepito, the DPRC inspected our churches and church properties in the districts of Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos, and Bulacan to determine the extent of the damage and develop a restoration plan. They also held a seminar to impart knowledge to local pastors on how to assist our brethren during this calamity.

Typhoon Enteng

The combined effects of Typhoon Enteng and increased monsoon rainfall caused widespread flooding in multiple places, including Rizal District. Its highland regions, which were previously unaffected by flooding, came under water. Hundreds of families in several hard-hit areas received assistance from the DPRC’s efforts, which were headed by Pastor Loreto Cabantog, one of the DPRC committee members, with the help of church volunteers.

Extending Christ’s Compassion Through Action

Through the Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee, the Good Samaritan ministry of the PMCC (4th Watch), the Church extends the love of Christ to those in need, just as Christ calls us to love and care for our neighbors.
